Discover who we are as the Church of God General Conference

Partnering with churches & ministries in spreading Biblical truth of the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ

The Church of God General Conference is a network of independent churches. Each church is locally governed and autonomous. We believe Christ, not an organization, is the head of the Church.

While not agreeing on every point of doctrine, our churches universally agree that:

  • The Father alone is God.
  • Jesus is His Son, the human Messiah, and our Savior.
  • At his literal return to earth, Jesus will resurrect the dead.
  • Jesus will establish God’s Kingdom on the earth.
  • Salvation comes through faith in Christ and is followed by baptism by immersion.

Through the General Conference, churches collectively join forces and share resources to accomplish larger efforts globally in addition to their local ministries.

Volunteer boards and committees oversee each ministry. Churches send delegates to an annual summer conference where ministry decisions are made collectively, and a board of directors is elected.

The General Conference exists to provide support rather than control. Participation in any General Conference event, program, or ministry is voluntary and encouraged. Our resources are created to benefit and bless churches who choose to use them.

Together we can serve Christ and his Church more effectively.
