Pillars & Pathways

Build our future and support today’s ministry

What is the Pillars & Pathways Campaign?

Pillars & Pathways is a strategic initiative designed to strengthen the foundation of Atlanta Bible College (ABC) and the Church of God General Conference (COGGC) while creating new pathways for future students, ministry leaders, and Kingdom impact.

For more than a century, the Church of God General Conference has equipped churches, supported ministries, and proclaimed the biblical truth of the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ. Every generation has faced new challenges and opportunities, and each time God has opened new doors for greater impact.

Today, we stand at another pivotal moment.

Imagine a place that allows for more regular and personal connections with a broader number of our churches and isolated members. A place that feels like home to the students of our Bible college. A place that creates biblical content for an ever-changing digital world. A place that encourages connection and draws people together and to Jesus.

This is more than a building project. It is an investment in the future of our churches, our ministries, and the generations that will carry the message of Jesus Christ forward.

Through Pillars & Pathways, we are creating a space for greater ministry, impact, education, and connection—a place designed to serve today’s needs while preparing for tomorrow’s opportunities. Together, we can build a stronger foundation for the Church of God General Conference and support new and existing pathways for future leaders, churches, and Kingdom impact.

Why now?

For decades and from different campus locations, the Church of God General Conference and Atlanta Bible College have faithfully served churches, equipped leaders, and proclaimed biblical truth. But our current location and facilities limit our ability to serve the movement as effectively as possible.

Today, the COGGC and ABC operate from a location that is geographically removed from much of the national footprint of our churches. In addition, our current facilities were not designed to function as a traditional Bible college campus, making it more difficult to foster the community, training, and ministry experiences that are even more beneficial to preparing future leaders.

Now, we have the opportunity to relocate and establish a new headquarters and campus in Ohio that will place the COGGC closer to many of our churches, create greater opportunities for connection and collaboration, and once again provide a true campus experience for our Bible college students. This new location will allow COGGC leaders to engage more regularly with local congregations while giving students more direct access to ministry opportunities where they can apply what they are learning in real-world church settings.

We hope to take possession of the property in the summer of 2026, with renovations beginning immediately. Our goal is to relocate COGGC offices by the summer of 2027 and welcome Bible college students to the new campus in the fall of 2027. The work ahead is significant, but so is the opportunity to create a ministry center that will serve churches, students, and future generations in a greater way for decades to come.

Our mission

The Pillars & Pathways Campaign is built on two complementary priorities: establishing a permanent foundation for future ministry and ensuring that our current ministries continue to thrive throughout the transition. Together, they allow us to strengthen what God has already entrusted to us while preparing for the opportunities ahead.

Pillars

Building a Foundation for the Future

The Pillars Campaign funds the purchase, renovation, and development of our new headquarters and college campus in Ohio.

This new campus will provide a central location for the Church of God General Conference and Atlanta Bible College, positioning us closer to many of our churches and creating greater opportunities for connection, ministry, and leadership development.

A Center for Ministry and Leadership Training

A 15,000-square-foot administrative and educational building will be transformed into the heart of the campus, housing:

  • COGGC ministry offices
  • Bible College classrooms
  • The ABC library and COGGC archives
  • Meeting and collaboration spaces
  • A central chapel capable of hosting conferences, training events, and the annual General Conference

A Home for Students

An existing residence will be renovated and expanded to provide student housing that fosters community, discipleship, and spiritual growth. By placing housing and classrooms on the same campus, students will experience a more connected and immersive Bible college environment.

A Gathering Place for the COGGC

The campus chapel and gymnasium will provide space for fellowship, conferences, meals, recreational activities, and large-scale gatherings that bring churches and ministries together for encouragement and mutual support.

A Platform for Digital Ministry

Additional space on campus will be developed into a media production studio where video, audio, and digital resources can be created to share biblical truth and support churches across the country.

Pathways

Sustaining Ministry and Creating New Opportunities

As we pursue this exciting new chapter, the ministry of the Church of God General Conference continues every day. Churches still need support. Students still need training. Resources still need to be developed. The gospel still needs to be proclaimed.

The Pathways Campaign provides funding for the ministries that are actively serving our churches today while creating opportunities for future growth and impact.

Church Support and Leadership Development

COGGC ministries work year-round to encourage pastors, strengthen congregations, develop leaders, and provide resources that help churches thrive.

Atlanta Bible College

Pathways helps sustain the educational mission of Atlanta Bible College as we continue preparing students for lives of service and ministry.

Digital and Media Outreach

Through publications, video content, online resources, and future media initiatives, we are expanding our ability to share biblical truth with an increasingly digital world.

Ministry Innovation and Growth

Pathways makes it possible to launch new ministries, strengthen existing departments, and respond to the needs of our churches.

It sustains the ongoing impact of ministries like Lord’s Harvest International, Turning Point Youth Ministry, North American Missions, the Ministerial Association, and more—helping equip leaders and serve churches across the COGGC.

While Pillars will build our new foundation, Pathways ensures that our current ministry continues to move forward. Together, these efforts allow us to serve today’s churches while preparing tomorrow’s leaders.

The Campaign goals

Pillars

The goal of the Pillars Campaign is to raise $500,000 by August 2027 to renovate and prepare our new campus for ministry use.

These funds will transform existing buildings into classrooms, offices, student housing, and gathering spaces for Atlanta Bible College and the Church of God General Conference.

A fully funded Pillars Campaign also allows the sale of the Avalon property to be invested, helping replace the income it previously provided and strengthening long-term financial sustainability.

PATHWAYS

The goal of the Pathways Campaign is to add 1,000 new monthly partners supporting the ongoing work of the COGGC and ABC.

These recurring gifts will eliminate our current funding gap and provide steady support for church ministry, student training, and resource development.

How to give

Pillars Campaign

  • One-time gift – A single, impactful gift toward the campus renovation.
  • Recurring monthly gifts – Set up an automatic monthly gift designated toward the Pillars campaign. Recurring giving allows you to make a larger impact over time and can be scheduled to continue through the end of the campaign in August 2027 or end earlier if desired.

Pathways Campaign

  • Monthly partnership – Join a growing community of supporters giving at least $10/month or more to sustain and strengthen ongoing ministry across the Church of God General Conference.
    Questions?
    Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes, donations made to the Church of God General Conference and Atlanta Bible College are tax deductible.

    Can I designate my gift?

If you are giving to the Pillars & Pathways campaign you are designating your gifts to the cost of purchase, building, and repairs (Pillars) and the ongoing support of ministry through our general fund (Pathways). If you would prefer to give to other Church of God General Conference ministries, please see other giving options on our donate page.

    Can I give monthly?

    Absolutely!

Pathways gifts are encouraged to be monthly. They are intended to unite us around the support of the ministry of the Church of God General Conference and Atlanta Bible College. You can contact our office at any time to modify or cancel your recurring gift.

Pillars gifts can be one-time or recurring. When you click any of the “Give to Pillars” buttons, you’ll have the option to select “Monthly” and enter the amount you’d like to give each month.

Because the Pillars campaign concludes at General Conference in August 2027, recurring Pillars gifts will automatically end at that time. If you would like your recurring gift to end before August 2027, please include your preferred end date in the comments section when setting up your donation. After your recurring gift is established, you can also contact our office at any time to modify or cancel it.

If you have any questions or would like assistance setting up a recurring donation, please contact our office at melinda.cisler@coggc.org or 678-833-1839.

What happens if the goal is exceeded?

If we exceed our goal with the Pillars & Pathways campaign, additional funds will be used to support the ongoing ministry needs of the Church of God General Conference and Atlanta Bible College.

    How will funds be managed?

Our business office oversees our funds, assuring that money given for specific purposes goes where the donor desires. Our annual external audit assures this practice is kept. Care and integrity are maintained and any investment oversight is provided by the Investment Committee of the Church of God General Conference.

Why are you fundraising if we found a more cost effective property?

Many people have expressed a desire to be a part of this move, and the excitement surrounding our ministry opportunities at the new campus has already generated support. This new property has larger buildings, which give us opportunities to host larger events, such as General Conference. That increases the need for additional furniture, equipment, and operational items beyond what we anticipated. We will be able to move many items from our current campus, but a larger than expected floor plan, along with an additional building we did not anticipate owning (praise God!), has increased the financial need to fully equip our future ministry location. We also underestimated how much of the Avalon campus sale proceeds we need to invest in order to replace the income generated by the Avalon building. Therefore, we want to give everyone an opportunity to join us in this mission.

“If we combine a well-located campus with strategic ministry efforts, great things can become a reality.”

Seth Ross, Executive Director of the COGGC
